Centre for Legal Rights Education, Advocacy, and Development – CLREAD is Development-Conscious Organization started in the year 2005, as a task force of Community Resource Persons [CORPS].

In March 2011, the organization was registered as a National NGO with Registration Number OP218/051/11- 01/6933. The organization has remained Gender-Concern and Women Human Rights Institution, with focus on Women and Children Human Rights Protection, Advocacy, and Economic Empowerment. This it does by focusing on the needs of the under-served and marginalized Women, Female Youth and Children living below the Poverty Line.

The organization operates in Western Kenya region by responding to the Human Rights and Social Needs of Women Sex Workers, Women Prisoners and Victims of Abuse as a result of ignorance concerning the Rule of law and retrogressive Cultural Beliefs and Practices.
